How to Remove Yourself from BeenVerified

BeenVerified runs background checks and people searches that pull up your addresses, phone numbers, email accounts, social media profiles, criminal records, and more. They charge people money to look you up. The opt-out process is straightforward, but you have to find your specific record first, and they make that slightly annoying on purpose.

> Where BeenVerified gets your data

BeenVerified buys data from public records aggregators, court systems, property records, phone directories, and commercial data brokers. They're part of a larger company that also runs PeopleLooker, NumberGuru, and other search services. Opting out of BeenVerified doesn't automatically remove you from their sister sites. You have to opt out of each one separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BeenVerified the same company as PeopleLooker?
Yes. BeenVerified Inc. operates multiple people search brands. Opting out of one doesn't cover the others. You'll need to submit separate requests for each service they run.
How long until BeenVerified removes my data?
Usually within 24 hours of clicking the email verification link. If your listing is still there after 48 hours, submit another request.
Will my BeenVerified listing come back?
Probably. They pull fresh data regularly from public records. Expect your listing to reappear within a few months. This is standard practice for data brokers.
Can I remove my criminal records from BeenVerified?
The opt-out removes your entire profile, including any criminal record data they've attached to it. However, the underlying court records are still public. BeenVerified is just one of many sites that aggregate them.

Done with BeenVerified? You probably have 20 to 40 more broker listings to remove.
